The Indian business community, Through FICCI, has played a historiccal role in the country's struggle for freedom. This was acknowledged by the Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi, who complimented and exhorted the Chamber in his historic address on the occasion of the 4th Annula Session in 1931.
Today, after five decades of independence, FICCI is in the vanguard of nation building and is moving ahead to integrate the India economy with the global mainstream.
