Since 1985 owner of a private medical practice in 3re compartment health care, and employer. This enables familiarity with the various aspects of (small scale) company management.
Since February 2003 also working as an MD in a clinic (ZBC) specialized on lymfological problems. Gradually becoming involved into policy-oriented tasks, healthcare-insurance oriented tasks and the like.

Start studying at the institute of Policy and Management
in Health Care of Erasumus University Rotterdam to obtain formal knowlede and fill the knowledge gaps. Doing this as a parttime student since September, 2001.
Finishing Propedeuse iBMG cum laude, August 2002.
“Schakeljaar”certificate, July 2003. (giving admission on entering the Master Health Economy, Policy and Law).
Start Master HEPL september 2003, first half finished with satisfying results April 2004.
Working on the Master Thesis since May 2004 with working title: ”Non-parametric deterministic and parametric stochastic analysis of performance indicators in Dutch hospitals: a feasibility study”.
