Arbind Singh

Arbind Singh is a social activist working on development issues of informal sector workers in India. He is Executive Director of Nidan. Nidan works intensively with 40,000 families of working poor in Bihar on livelihood, collective enterprises, social security. He is Co-ordinator of National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) which is a National federation of Trade Unions and N.G.Os working with street vendor in 16 states of India.

Arbind Singh was born in Bihar, has spent many years in Delhi and now lives in Patna.

He has done graduation in Sociology from Hindu College, Delhi University and Post Graduation from Delhi School of Social Economics, Delhi University. He also holds a Bachlor of Law Degress from Magadh University.

Mr Arbind Singh edits a quaterly newsletter called Footpath Ki Aawaj. He occasionally writes articles on issues of informal economy workers and has published articles in reputed journals like Seminar.
