Foundation:

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) is a premier business school established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, and supported by Birla group of companies. Smt. (Dr.) Sarla Birla and Shri B. K. Birla founded the institute recognizing the need of research and education in business and management. It has patronage of the oldest business house of India.

About the Institut:

Birla Institute offers Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM), Master of Business Administration (MBA)- Insurance, Master In International Business (MIB), Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance & Risk Management (PGDIRM), Post Graduate Diploma in Retailing & Merchandising Management (PGDRMM), and Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship & Family Business (PGDEFB). Institute offers short term courses in BPO- Market Research, and Rural Management. It also offers Ph.D. and D. Litt. programmes in Business and Insurance. BIMTECH is accredited for pioneering in the full time postgraduate education in Insurance & Risk Management, and Retailing Management in the country.

Student community in BIMTECH comes from almost all states of India, and also from few foreign countries and has appropriate representation on academic background, gender, experience, and geographical location. All the skill based programmes have achieved full employment from campus. Institute has various collaborations with foreign universities and international research organizations for research, faculty and student exchange programmes and also with industry for knowledge sharing.
