Teaching Cologne

A concentrated lesson in health insurance for the poor

At the University of Cologne the project is executed by the Department of Co-operative Studies, Chair Prof. Rösner. The students participating in this project will write their Diplomarbeit or Master thesis in Genossenschaftswesen (co-operative studies), Sozialpolitik (social policy) or Gesundheitsökonomie (health economics) (this includes students of Regionalwissenschaften Lateinamerika & Ostasien). Coordination will be at the chair of Prof. Rösner (responsible: Ralf Radermacher).

Cooperative Studies II: Theorie and practice of economic cooperation in developing societies

Lecture:"Cooperative Studies II: Theorie and practice of economic cooperation in developing societies" (Genossenschaftswesen II: Theorie und Praxis wirtschaftlicher Kooperation in Entwicklungsgesellschaften)
This lecture is an introduction in self help and development cooperation. Basic questions about development cooperation especially focusing on cooperative management will be analysed. The chances for developing countries to reach their goals by taking advantage of synergetic effects that result from cooperative management will be discussed. Support by external actors is a further point of discussion.
The lecture wil be held by Professor Rösner on Wednesdays from 15:15 to 16:45, room XIa.

Advanced Seminar Cooperative Studies II: Theorie and practice of economic cooperation in developing societies

The accompanying advanced seminar "Cooperative Studies II: Theorie and practice of economic cooperation in developing societies" (Genossenschaftswesen II: Theorie und Praxis wirtschaftlicher Kooperation in Entwicklungsgesellschaften) is recommended.
Single aspects introduced during the lecture will be deepend and clarified by case studies.
The seminar is held by Prof. Rösner and Ralf Radermacher on Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11:45, room XIb.
